It's finally here - the last day of 2020. I don't know about you, but I'm hoping we are entering a time of healing and improvement. I hope we get to the point where COVID19 is in our rearview mirror and some of the division in our country can slowly disappear. I hope that by sometime this summer we are able to gather again with our friends and loved ones. I hope that this time next year, we are all gathered together to watch fireworks and drink champagne.
The things that have happened in 2020 are unprecedented in my lifetime, though not in the lifetimes of some of my clients. We all certainly hope that there won't be a next time, but hope isn't always enough.
How can you prepare for the next time? COVID19 made many people realize how important it is to plan ahead. Make sure your Estate Plan is in order. You should have an elder law attorney review your documents to make sure that you're covered in the event of another pandemic or just to protect you in more simple times. If you're looking for some more in depth information on topics that might affect you or your family, I've posted the videos from my Winter Webinar Series on our YouTube Page.
I wish you and your family all the best for 2021, and remember that we are always here to answer your questions and provide legal advice. Take care and let's all work toward a better world in 2021!
